World Women’s Conference Day - Cabella July 2007

The Sahaja Yoga festival week between guru puja and Krishna puja 2007 opened on Monday july 30th with the gathering of the yoginis for the world’s women conference day.

Throughout the day, experiences could be exchanged on various topics, in a simple, natural and jolly mood. Prior to any contributions, Mother’s talk on the occasion of woman’s day in China read to the audience. Then, some ladies took in turn to address, first on the principle of womanhood as a wife and a mother, then followed by the need of solidarity and sisterhood, and finally on the impact of the yoginis in the professional field. More than theoretical, these contributions included various practical experiences with and without the physical presence of Shri Mataji.

Later on in the morning, Gisela from Austria gave a substantial description of the running of the “destitute women’s house” in Delhi she is in charge of. She emphasized on the physical and financial help she needs from the West and it appeared to all of us that we cannot be oblivious of the fact that such an enormous and difficult task cannot be left to the responsibility of a sole yogini. This is why Anand (Shri Mataji’s grandson) was the only male figure who intervened very determined and strongly positive on this very subject right at the beginning of the conference day before any other subject could be developed. Gisela also melted our hearts by sharing with us some experiences showing how little children respond so well to her love. For those who wish to spend some time to help her in Delhi or support the centre with donations.

In the afternoon, other ladies delighted us in describing their Sahaj work in schools where children get self-realisation, in countries such as Italy, Colombia and Holland. It was very inspiring and encouraging for all of us whose countries are not yet ripe for that. But no doubt time will come for all of us, now that the collective attention has been triggered by this pioneering work.

Then as mothers, we could not miss the subject of Sahaj education for our children. Again some experiences were shared on the necessity to create opportunities for our youngsters to get together as well as parents to support each other for this collective responsibility. Along with this, some elder yuva shakti boys and girls were invited to present the ladies the results of their Sahaj education.

The exchange fell then on the role of elderly women in sahaja Yoga. It was strongly and positively reminded that ladies of “a certain age” should not be left aside and should stand up because they still can offer a lot in terms of Sahaj action and support to the younger generations since they have gone through all the various stages of life and are now likely to provide us with their skills and wisdom. There is space for everyone in our big family from chidren to grandparents.

The conference ended up with an experience from America showing the impact of yogis on the politics of the country, relating the power of our attention and our silent work.

The credit of this beautiful day goes to Purna Vertunni and Christina Bruce who took the initiative to organize this event. In a very spontaneous and affectionate way, yet softly disciplined, she managed to protect the collective attention from external disturbances so as to create a very deep, peaceful and joyful atmosphere between hundreds of ladies bound together in Mother’s web of love.

This first Sahaj festival 2007 held in Cabella definitely seals the first stone of the new “world foundation” and is a promise of many more similar celebrations to come in the future. Each day of the week brought its amount of spiritual nourishment through the various proposed topics; and we can but support the Italian collectivity to facilitate this big task of meeting and sharing experiences coming from all over the world.

Congo attrocities

Dear Sisters,

The time has come for us to use our attention and vibrational power on the problems of the world.

It's hard and painful to read this article about the women of Congo. That a brother posted it to me, make's you feel weak and powerless, but it's there that our compassion and faith in God in Our Divine Mother has to work .

During the period of Navaratri, let us ask for the Goddess Durga's intervention.

Let us also perform a special Havan on the Sunday the 27 of October and burn all the negativity against women and children in Congo reading Srhi Mahakali's names.

This is just a start I'll count on you to make suggestions, maybe we could invite big petrol companies which do bussiness with Congo to put pressure on the local government to act.

I have a feeling that we should be more present not only on the subtle level but also socialy.

With Love Purna

Dear Purna, I'm an Indian yogini from Seattle, USA. I also read the same NY Times article on these women yesterday. The pain that the "Rastas'" negativity is inflicting on these women is beyond words. We, in the Seattle collective are so happy to be a part of your havan on the 27th.
Love,
Priyanka Joshi

Dear Purna and to all our sisters and brothers, thanks for this wonderful blog and for your courage to expose some "very bad" negativity. We have to fight this Evil also by sharing ideas and emotions. NYT is one of the major media to talk about this disgusting subject of massive rape in Congo. You know that in France, the country of Attention in the "Virata, absolutely no major media (press,tv, radio, magazine, news, etc) has related this terrible information !!! :=(

Shri Mataji has said in America to the Native, in 1993, that negativity and agressivity will come more subtler... and we have to fight it with our weapons, meaning Her weapons, of course non violent ones. Havans and shoe beating are Ok, but also we have to be demonstrative, active ... communicating with the medias to fight the Evil. I can send a file of a nice meeting with Shri Mataji and the natives. tell me where to post it. Nice instructions to fight subtly the Evil...

For the subtle information, just notice that Congo is subtly linked with Kundalini in Africa. In ancient language, Congo was called "Likundu", meaning the path to "Kund"...===>"kundalini"... We have a yogi who has written in French a nice book on the Congo, very amazing this subtle connection of Africa and true or false knowledge !

Bandhan also to help a group of nice fellow sahaja yogis who are trying to develop a website to announce this truth of Mother to African nations. A sort of subtle negativity is blocking the project... Bandhan also for an international group of yogis who are nowadays making a realisation tour in Mali. Morocco is still in process for realisation, very good news to "dry our tears" coming from this Congo...

Lovely

Dear sisters, you are the strength, negativities have troubled us for centuries, but now is the time to get above all this, find the power in yourself, noone can touch your soul, the soul is pure as ever, please with full SAMARPAN pray to SHRI MATAJI and noone has the gutts to even touch you. Sisters who have suffered more, now very well know their strength, people who tolerate have much more strenght than others, we only have to realise it.
Heart full of love,

If anyone is interested in giving practical help to women in Congo (and other war torn areas such as Afghanistan, Kosovo and Iraq) then please check out the charity Women for Women International.
http://www.womenforwomen.org

This charity is different from usual because it aims to get individual women connected to each other to provide not only money but also support and training to help women rebuild their lives and the lives of their families after war and conflict.

As a sponsor I pay $27 per month and I write letters to my "sister" and she writes letters back to me. During the year that she is in the program she gets financial assistance, receives training and gets all the support she needs to start her life again, become independent and care for her children.

I have been a sponsor for 4 years now and have had 4 sisters, 2 from Congo and 2 from Rwanda.

This is the best idea to come out of Shaja Yoga for a long time. Could you please clarify whether the collective attention will be through a Puja or a Havan, and what day exactly is it going to be, since the 27th of October is a Saturday and not a Sunday, as posted on the blog.
Love, Anna

Dear sisters,
The atrocities in Kongo have been a main subject in our francophone communication net. One proposition of a yogini was to alert the Feminine Press in a concerted action especially in countries (like Bruno said in France)which do not inform properly about the violence excerced against women in this world.
How could we have an 'official' communication in the name of all yoginis ? Shouldn't we create a sort of press group who could send out messages concerning mayor issues that are in our attention to print and internet medias which could be translated for use in all countries. Communication is one of the main weapons we have in this modern time ...

Doris Verez

Jai Shri Mataji!
Hi Purnaji :-)
We are going to announce Havan on the 27.10. for all Czech sahaja yogis with bigger article in our newspaper about situation in Africa. If you would like to put more details about what we will burn in Havan namely, it will be helpful to have joined attention.
If it is interesting for you, we have putted into this article few more info about negativities in this world - situation in Barma, China, Korea, Cuba, Libanon,... and maybe we can concept this Havan as instrument to destroy all the negativity against power of humanity, against strenght of purity, peace and beauty of love in women. What do you mean? Everybody will understand, that if it is power of women, who is able to save this world, then it is important to protect all this power as own heart :-) Lot of love from Czech, Jana

Most beloved sisters,
it is such a joy and a fill up with vibrations and to hear all of you and your wonderful comments.
Answering to Doris and also referring to Bruno. ABSOLUTLY MAKE a press group in your own country,it ìs very important that they hear our voices.
If you can do it build associations to help women and children, you don't need to use the name of sahaja yoga, otherwise we could be easily be attacked.
We could find a name together that everybody can use.
Suggestions welcome.

Havan on the 27 In Italy will be performned in the morning around
10.30/ 11.00.
Main things to burn:
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN AFRICA
VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN IN AFRICA
VIOLENCE AND NEGATIVITY AGAINST WOMANHOOD
NEGATIVITY AGAINST INNOCENCE
NEGATIVITY AGAINST THE WORLD TAKING ACTION TO PROTECT WOMEN AND CHILDREN
NEGATIVITY WHICH PREVENTS SAHAYA YOGINIS MANIFESTING THEIR POWERS

Hi everybody

Just to Say that UK will also have havans on 27 october, for Africa.

The Congo yogis will also have a havan on 27 in Congo, as Boris has informed me , and they also want the support for the Public Program that they will have on 28 october in Kinshasa as Boris (bradkevitch@hotmail.com), a british sahaja yogi working in Congo, informed me.
Tim Bruce, my husband suggested to read DEvi Kavach or Rama Kavach with full attention on Congo , and Africa.

Jai Shri Mataji

Dear sisters and brothers,
This Sahaj movement of our collective desire and attention to fight this horrendous violence against women and children in Congo is so powerful, and yes I agree, unfortunately this violence is happening all over the world in many forms. It destroys women, children, and the family.
Please add the issue of domestic violence and abuse to your havans. We just organized a candlelight vigil for victims of domestic violence and their survivors in our region, along with speakers to raise awareness of this hidden cruelty. Domestic violence and abuse is so pervasive in every country, and victims, mostly women and children, are affected for their whole lives. By putting our enlightened attention on these issues of violence against women (and families) and going out into our communities or to the newspapers to expose it, I’m sure that our Mother’s Love will spread so much faster and change will come to help so many.
Jai Shri Mataji!
Love from your sister,
Christina

Dear all
Just to say that we had a very strong all London havan on 27 october evening and also there was a havan at the National sahaj Centre Bloxham Farm, uk. They focussed on Congo , Africa, Women's situation ..
It was very powerfull, we read Shri MAhakali's names. It was so amaizeing to see all the brothers and sisters with so much deep love and concern. Hopefully something has changed after this wonderfull international vibrational attention.I feel is very significant, as is the first time when Mother's Powers are manifested through us in such an united way: havans all over the world on same day comming from a deep feeling of love and compassion and sincere desire to help the Humanity. Please remember to do a small puja or havan every second sunday of the month for COngo and all attack on innocence and chastity.
Our next step in UK is to organise a national Women's Seminar and discuss the way forward about creating an Women's Association, registered charity so we could help our sisters outside of sahaj.
Love
Cristina Bruce

Hi all.
We had a havan in Cabella on 27 october as well.
There were about 20 yoginis (and kid-yogis). We started with Mahakali's names and then we offered the negativities to the fire.
I must say that all the day, I had been feeling a strange atmosphere, like suffocating. But during the havan, when fire burnt the negativities I felt strong the energy rising along the left side.
I hope that this will be only the beginning of our "power in action" dear sisters ;)
Love
Silvana

Dear Brothers and Sisters

As a result of our collective desire to bring the atrocities against the women and children of Eastern Congo into world attention the film report about their plight

has been shown on Sky News today. To watch it click on the following link

http://news.sky.com/skynews/video/fullscr?videoRef=http://skynews-clips.videoloungetv.com/public/skynews/latest/flash/congo_p16397.flv

Let our collective attention go to all the problems in the world and through Mothers Grace put end to them. May the light of the Spirit leave no place for evil and ignorance of this sort to hide.

Dear brothers and sisters,

also in Austria we had a havan that was extremly strong and beautifull. We offered the 108 names of Shri Mahakali and then specially all negativity that came into our attention agaist women and children.

For myself that was one of the most powerful havans I ever had and it is so encouraging to feel that we all are united and together we can transform and change the world.

Is there already a new date for the next international Shakti meetings?

Here in Austria we were curious about the shakti meetings in other countries and their outcomes. We have started to write down a protocol after the meetings.

Idea: can we somehow also put all protocols about the meetings in different countries on this blogg? This would deepen our exchange with each other.

lots of love to all of you from Austria

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view

I would appreciate more visual materials, to make your blog more attractive, but your writing style really compensates it. But there is always place for improvement
